1s Singapore Open Salsa Competition

XB came out big winners. JY and YQ 1st, TzeYi and Nicole 2nd, Jean and Lina 3rd. Of the other 4 couples, 3 got consolation (there were 7 consolation prizes). The one who didn't get consolation had the wrong music being played during their performance (otherwise they might have gotten something also, Nigel was so sotong that he didn't even know it was the wrong music, heheh). As far as I can remember, the consolation prize winners are: Suman & Rachael, Boon Cheong & Evelyn, Wendy & Bogie (They are damm good, should have been in top3) , Tian You & Joyce, Anthony & Nancy, Dickson & Tori. (Can't remember who's the last couple who got consolation)

Quite amazing. hehe. And to think that these XB couples only trained for the past TEN DAYS.

Justin was kind enuf to acknowledge all our contribution and attributed it to a team effort. (Emma, Edmund for all the shit work, me and James for helping to cover the daily classes, YQ and being the ever faithful and most talented co-brain, etc.). But I think he's the main guy, the brilliant brain and architect of the whole thing. Plus all the PURE HARDWORK put in by the 5 couples. Damm, those TEN DAYS were worse than BMT, hehehe. I think it's difficult not to get inspired by them and their dedication during the training period =) Nothing was left to chance and we really drilled down to the last detail (even the makeup, hehe.. my 1st time being a 'hair stylist' as I was tasked to colour Anthony's hair. They even coloured JY's eyebrows to make him look more fierce, hahaha. Awesome. Even C oso kenna roped in to help coz I asked her to come XB =P)

The other highlight of the night, was AL's performance. Wah, super amazing leh. Futuristic salsa. Aiyo,.... I wonder when can Singapore reach this kind of standard.

I really wonder wat the salsa community will say about this, hehe. Already started to hear some feedback liao. Not exactly good,... as usual =P

That's a picture of the people who represented XB (and Dickson's gf Sharon + Nancy's bf) Tat's some of the XB people who were around to celebrate after the results were announced.
We all went back to XB for a mini celebration after that. Poppped some champaigne, eat chicken wings, heeeheee. (but roads were blocked coz of deepavali, I was damm lucky to get a parking slot at club st.... TP asked me to leave from Single Yellow line, heheh). Dickson's students also dropped by to soak in the mood.
